Life at James Madison University
Sigma Kappa has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience. Through this sisterhood, I’ve grown so much as a person and formed friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I’ve learned the true meaning of support, loyalty, and what it means to be surrounded by strong, inspiring women. One of my favorite parts of Sigma Kappa has been becoming a big and building such a special bond with my little, watching her grow and thrive in our chapter has been so rewarding. I also feel incredibly proud of the work we’ve done through our philanthropy, especially raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s disease. Being part of something bigger than myself, and giving back alongside my sisters, has been both humbling and empowering. Sigma Kappa has given me confidence, purpose, and memories I’ll hold onto forever.

Madison Business Society
Madison Business Society has truly shaped my college experience in the best way possible. I joined during the spring semester of my freshman year, and looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the very beginning, MBS welcomed me into a community of motivated, like-minded individuals who have become some of my closest friends. The memories I’ve made, whether at professional development events, group projects, social outings, or just late-night brainstorming sessions, are ones I’ll always cherish. Through MBS, I’ve developed a wide range of professional skills that have helped me grow both personally and career-wise. From resume workshops to networking events, I’ve had countless opportunities to prepare for the professional world and gain confidence in my abilities. Holding leadership roles like Vice President of Marketing and Head Recruitment Chair taught me how to collaborate effectively, manage responsibilities, and lead with purpose. These roles challenged me, shaped my leadership style, and allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the organization. More than anything, Madison Business Society gave me a sense of belonging, purpose, and growth. It’s where I found not only my professional footing, but also some of my greatest friendships. I’ll forever be grateful for everything MBS has taught me and the lasting impact it’s had on my college journey

Supply Chain Management
Supply chain management opened my eyes to an entirely new side of business that I hadn’t been exposed to before. Through my coursework and hands-on experiences, I gained a deep appreciation for the complexity and importance of supply chains in keeping our global economy running smoothly. One of the most impactful moments was traveling to Fort Lauderdale to tour Port Everglades. There, I had the incredible opportunity to see firsthand how goods are transported, tracked, and managed on a large scale. Walking through the port, I observed the intricate coordination required for importing and exporting materials, from dock operations to logistics planning. I also learned about the crucial role communication plays, both with customers and within supply chain networks, and how companies strategically use outsourcing to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. It was an enriching experience that brought classroom concepts to life and gave me a much clearer picture of how supply chain management functions in the real world. It sparked a newfound interest in the field and showed me just how interconnected every part of business truly is.
