Traveling the World

Traveling the world is one of the things I love most to do! I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel out of the country a variety of times and have seen the beauty of different cultures and environments, educating me about the beauty of the world. I wanted to share more about where I have been and some of my favorite parts about each unique place!

Some places I've been

Saint Lucia

Visiting Saint Lucia was one of my first experiences traveling outside the country, and it was truly unforgettable, both breathtaking and eye-opening. I've always been drawn to tropical destinations and dreamed of seeing crystal clear, bright blue water in person. In 2016, that dream came true when my family and I stayed at the Windjammer Landing Resort, a special place my parents had visited two decades earlier. The trip was deeply meaningful and filled with moments I still cherish. We spent a week in paradise—kayaking right outside our resort, taking a scenic boat tour around the island, exploring a volcano, tasting fresh cocoa beans, and learning about Saint Lucia's rich history. Stepping outside the resort gave me a glimpse into the daily lives of locals, and it was a powerful reminder of how different life can be around the world. Traveling to a place I never imagined I’d see was incredibly fulfilling, and I hope to return someday soon.

Hawaii

In both 2022 and 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Hawaii during the summer, and to this day, it remains my absolute favorite destination. There’s something magical about the islands: the warm, breezy air, the laid-back atmosphere, and the overall sense of peace I felt while I was there. It’s still hard to believe Hawaii is one of the fifty states, it feels worlds away from the mainland. I fell in love with the fresh seafood, the tropical fruit stands on nearly every corner, and the breathtaking beaches that seemed straight out of a postcard. One of the most unforgettable experiences was parasailing, where I got to see the islands from above—an entirely new and awe-inspiring perspective. In that moment, I truly forgot everything else and just lived fully in the beauty surrounding me. I loved it so much, I even considered moving there and fully embracing island time. I’ve been lucky enough to explore Maui, O‘ahu, and Kaua‘i, and I hope to return again one day.

Italy

This past summer, in 2024, I had the amazing opportunity to spend a week in Italy, a country I’ve loved ever since my first visit to Venice back in 2015. That trip sparked my love for Italian culture, and returning nearly a decade later only deepened it. On this trip, I explored Florence, Rome, the countryside of Tuscany, and even got to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Every place had something unique to offer. Florence was filled with stunning art and architecture, and I loved walking through its charming streets. Rome was rich with history, I’ll never forget seeing the Colosseum and Vatican in person. Driving through the rolling hills of Tuscany was incredibly peaceful and scenic, with vineyards and small towns that felt straight out of a movie. The culture, food, and history in Italy are unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It was one of the most enriching and beautiful trips I’ve taken, and I hope to go back again soon to explore even more of the country.

London, England

This past summer, in 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to visit London and travel throughout the United Kingdom. My first trip to London was in 2015, marking my first time in Europe, and I’ve dreamed of returning ever since. This time, I made sure to see all the iconic sights, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and enjoyed breathtaking views from The Shard. My family and I also traveled across the UK, visiting historic landmarks like Stonehenge, the Roman Baths, and even a Bridgerton filming location, being a fan of the show, this was a definite highlight! I also got to experience the theatre scene in the West End and had an unforgettable night at the famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. This trip deepened my love for history, culture, and exploring new places. I can’t wait to go back and see even more of the UK in the future!

South Carolina

I have always loved going south and have grown up going to multiple different parts in South Carolina! I used to go to Hilton Head with my family for multiple summers, visit Myrtle Beach every year while in college to see my best friend at school as well for school trips! I recently went to Charleston for spring back this past year and loved it so much! I grew up in the North and have spent my entire life in a colder climate, but naturally I have always loved a warmer climate! I love all of the palmetto trees in South Carolina, the variety of beautiful beaches they have, and just the hints of southern charm!
